I am looking for a small compact tractor/loader/backhoe (used), but how small can you go for an effective backhoe? I live in the Pennsylvania woods and want to slowly clear out areas that will require digging out small stumps (8 inches or less) and leveling natural humps. Everything is rooty, so what do you recommend? I would also like to improve my driveway, about 400 feet long. What will dig into the compacted gravel? I would like to keep it in a one car garage and also use it in the winter for snow removal. (And I may as well mow with it, too....)
